Swinging Bridge Winemaker Dinner

with Tom Ward

Swinging Bridge is a family owned winery producing award winning wines in the cool climate region of Orange, NSW. Situated 900 metres above sea level on south facing, late ripening slopes and ancient volcanic soils, Winemaker and Viticulturist Tom Ward produces a range of wines that not only reflect our unique provenance, but Tom’s passion for his home region and craft.

Tom’s family have been farming in the district since 1867, with the first Swinging Bridge vines planted on the Ward family property in Canowindra in 1995, with Tom’s passion for viticulture and winemaking taking root too. The Swinging Bridge name originates from the wooden footbridge over the Belubula River that connects the family property to the town of Canowindra.

Now grown and produced entirely in the Orange Wine Region, we strive to uphold a culture of innovation and development through our pursuit of excellence under the leadership of Tom. From our position on the slopes surrounding Gaanha Bula-Mount Canobolas, we embrace our rich history and share our expression of the region’s quintessential varieties: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
